Sing! Conference 2026
Music. Mission. Redemption. Real People. Real Hope.
What Happens When You Bring a Hymn, a Guitar, and People Who Care Into a Prison?
Relationships that change everything.
For two years, we've built a music culture on death row at Parchman Farm. We've sat with men facing execution. We've run songwriting workshops in the nursing unit. We've worked with Unit 29, one of the toughest units in the facility. We've partnered with Field Ministers. And we've done something nobody expected would work in a prison: we've created space for real relationships.
Those relationships lead to conversations that go beyond surface level. Conversations about life and death. Conversations about faith and redemption. Conversations that would never happen without music. And music that would never have happened without someone willing to show up and care.
The men are writing their own songs now. They're leading worship. They're discovering that their voice matters. That they have value. That they can create something beautiful.
And we're not stopping at Parchman. We're now serving the women at Delta Correctional, including the sole female on death row. We're expanding across Mississippi. And in 2027, we're expecting God to move in several new states.
This work is expanding. And we need your church. We need musicians. We need volunteers. We need people willing to believe that music and relationship can reach the people everyone else has given up on.
What’s Happening at the 2nd Verses Booth?
Write the Next Verse
We're releasing a new version of a hymn you know: "Grace Greater Than Our Sin" (Marvelous Grace of Our Loving Lord).
The first verse is set. The chorus is locked. But the second verse? We want you to write it.
Here's how it works:
Come to the booth. We'll show you the hymn and walk you through the submission process. Then head to our online form and submit your work.
Your submission captures your work and your information so we can stay connected with you. Our leadership team and professional songwriters will review every submission.
One will be selected. Your verse will become the official second verse of the hymn we're releasing. Your words sung in churches. Your contribution to a song that reaches into prisons.
If you're not selected, this isn't goodbye.
We have several hymns in development right now. We're looking for writers. In the coming months, we'll send out calls for Second Verse submissions. Your chance to be part of this isn't limited to Sing! 2026.
Submissions accepted through Sunday, September 13, 2026 for "Grace Greater Than Our Sin" (Marvelous Grace of Our Loving Lord). Winner will be notified by September 30, 2026.
